The small often gets lost. Dismissed. Drowned out in the great, the loud, the large.
We Were So Small is a public writing project that believes small is important. We question the connection between scale and significance. We are building a home to celebrate the small. Small can mean powerless. Small can mean cozy. Small can mean insignificant, which can be lovely or terrible. Small can mean childhood, looking back on where we've been. We ask you to submit your reflections on the small. We Were So Small is so named because, as the project approaches completion, it moves forward in time. Each moment of growth in the journal, each addition, also becomes a departure from where it began. If, as "they" say, the internet lives forever, this archive of small can become an artifact of "now" as it becomes "before," looking back to when We Were So Small. ArchivesNo Archives Categories |
